Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
PSALM 32:7-8

What a wonderful promise God has given us! I pray that this will serve as a continual reminder to every person at Salem Baptist Temple that our job is to walk in such a way that this promise becomes ours. God is not saying that we will not have trouble or difficulty, but that if we walk by faith and obedience to the Lord and His Word, that He will preserve us from the presence of trouble and show Himself Lord over it. Our desire should be to walk daily in fellowship and obedience to Christ and that we honor Him. This will bring such a strong testimony and show the evidence of a spirit-controlled life. To walk in obedience to the Lord and His Word, we must let the Holy Spirit fill and control us. “By this shall all men know ye are my disciples if ye love one another” John 13:35. Let us purpose to be spirit-filled Christians that are trusting God to preserve us from trouble as we serve Him in 2012.
